Aadya’s Pack of Hope: Spreading Kindness, One Backpack at a Time
Aadya’s Pack of Hope is a youth-led initiative created by 8-year-old Aadya Garg from Newton, MA. What started as a conversation with her mom in first grade about children experiencing homelessness turned into a heartfelt mission to help.
After learning about School on Wheels, an organization that supports students without homes, Aadya felt inspired to take action. She launched Aadya’s Pack of Hope to raise funds and collect school supplies so that kids facing housing insecurity could feel prepared, confident, and excited for school, just like her and her friends.
In just two years, Aadya has raised over $6,500 and partnered directly with School on Wheels to donate fully stocked backpacks to children in need across Massachusetts.
With more than 30,000 homeless kids in the state, many are missing the basic tools needed for learning. Aadya’s mission is simple: ensure every child has the supplies—and the hope—they need to succeed in school and beyond.
This website was built by Aadya’s older brother, Aarav, to help grow the project and reach more supporters like you.
